Lifesavers Conference on National Highway Safety Priorities

Program Coordinator for the nation’s largest gathering of traffic safety professionals now in its 36th year. Work with volunteers to plan more than 80 workshops and plenary sessions addressing, distracted, impaired and aggressive driving; pedestrian, bicycle, teen, and aging driver safety; occupant protection/vehicle technology; criminal justice/law enforcement; and emerging highway safety issues. Handle all media relations and coordinate the Traffic Safety Scholars program

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration

Member of the evaluation team (communications expert) measuring the impact of an Innovative and Sustainable Seat Belt Enforcement Project in Owensboro, Kentucky

Monitoring and assessing public outreach activities for Community-Oriented Employment Demonstrations in Norman, Oklahoma (seat belt use) and Joplin, Missouri (impaired driving)

Serving on a team revising the Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program Assessment guidance document and delivery process which will include web-based and on-site components

National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP)

Member of a multi-consultant team led by the University of Minnesota, tasked with developing guidance for implementing the Toward Zero Deaths Communications Plan (NCHRP Project 17-64)

North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority

Provide ongoing support and guidance to program partners working with municipalities to adopt and sustain the Street Smart NJ pedestrian safety education & enforcement campaign (served on the team that developed, piloted and evaluated the campaign which is now)
